Stephen Galloza

Stephen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II) in the state of Florida. He specializes in complex trauma recovery, post traumatic growth and nervous system regulation. As a retired police officer, Stephen brings personal insight into the healing journey and understands the internal landscape of those who’ve been wounded in silence. He offers a solution-focused approach that is calming, discerning, and deepens life’s journey. Stephen has devoted his life to hope and healing and considers it a sacred trust to walk alongside those seeking to live a more meaningful and authentic life.

Stephen works with individuals navigating complex trauma, emotional dysregulation, spiritual abuse, family-of-origin wounds, and high-stakes caregiving stress. His approach is calming, discerning, and deeply present — always oriented toward safety, trust, and lasting change.

He offers a hope-filled, non-pathologizing perspective that honors the whole person and the wisdom of the nervous system. Sessions are collaborative and paced gently to respect what the client’s system is ready for.

Therapeutic Modalities

Stephen integrates a wide range of evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs:

    • EMDR for trauma resolution and memory reprocessing
    • IFS-informed parts work for internal healing and self-integration
    • Somatic and body-based therapies for nervous system regulation
    • Mindfulness-based practices for grounding and awareness
    • Attachment-based and relational therapy to heal relational wounds
    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for thought and behavior alignment

As a trauma therapist, Stephen’s focus is on you as a whole person with the goal of creating a relationship built on the foundation of safety and trust. This hope filled approach will help you understand your nervous system, heal from past wounds, reduce pain and suffering, and move towards an authentic and meaningful life.

Stephen’s education is in the fields of Clinical Mental Health and Pastoral Counseling. He holds a Post-Master’s Certificate in Clinical Mental Health from Johns Hopkins University, a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Regent University. He also earned a Ph.D. in Pastoral Counseling from The Evangelical Episcopal University and Theological Seminary, a private, non-accredited institution offering faith-based training. This credential supports his work with clients who wish to integrate spiritual formation in their healing process. All clinical services and licensure are based on accredited academic training and professional certifications.
